A New Level Of Respect For Hangeng.

I've been thinking about a lot of random things. And what I thought I'd do, is do my own little analysis on Hangeng of Super Junior. Yeah yeah, I know; You think I'm just gonna spend my time fangirling over Hangeng. Well no. I'm gonna do a little bit of mature fangirling, a bit of complaining towards people (not Hangeng), and a bit of pointing things out.

First off, I'd like to state a problem that I have. And it's not with Hangeng, it's about the fans. Ok, his name is Hangeng. Simple, right? Well, why not just say Hangeng? I really hate it when people say Hankyung. I mean god damn, give the man some pride for his actual name. He's chinese, don't make him appear korean. Call him something that is true, don't call him Hankyung because it sounds more alike to all the other kpop stars, call him Hangeng. Plus, if you're a new fan that's trying to learn their names (like I was), hearing the names Hangeng and Hankyung gets really damn confusing. Of course a newbie ELF would be confused as fuck because they'd be trying to figure out who Hangeng is, and who Hankyung is. In conclusion, don't call Hangeng a fake name to mask his ethnicity, it's just stupid.

Second; Please stop yelling at the poor man for leaving Super Junior. If you're gonna make a statement, do your damn research. He didn't leave because he was selfish and mean, he left because (as a quote) 'The contract had provisions in SM Entertainment's favor, the 13-year contract length was unlawful, it would take an unfair sum of money to end the contract, he was not allowed to request to revise his contract, he was forced to do things that were not in his contract, he was forced to do things against his will, he was fined if he disobeyed the company, missed any events or was late, and there was unfair profit distribution. Along with this, it was disclosed that because of SM Entertainment's refusal to give him a day off in over two years, he had developed gastritis and kidney disease.'. And you say he was a bastard, tsk tsk. I am dead serious, you people make me sick. You're bashing him for: No. Good. Reason.

Now that my complaining is done, lets get to the good things, shall we? First off, I'd like to say that this man is damn confident, loving, and clever. Most people think that SM forced him to wear a mask while performing, well haha, nope! Actually, it was all his idea. He cared so much about Super Junior in that he wanted to support and perform with them, that he asked SM if he could perform with a mask. It was actually a genius plan because it allowed him to continue performing and supporting. Of course, the fact that he had to wear the mask was unbelievably horrible, but the idea was pretty clever.

Second; He's damn talented. As you all know, he passed SM's audition in China, but he was one out of 3,000! Which as you can assume (I hope), means he is incredibly talented. Lets see, he can do all 56 types of traditional chinese dance styles (which is fucking awesome, fyi), and he knows martial arts. And in my opinion, he has one of the best voices in Super Junior. Think about it, it's powerful and energetic, but so emotional and calm and soft. It has a soft edge... if that makes sense. Not to mention that he is a triple threat xD He's a singer, a dancer, and an actor, and he does an amazing job at all of them!

Remember how I said he was caring and loving? He sends almost all of his hard earned money to his parents. He even bought his mother a dumpling shop! He also every now and then cries because he misses his parents back in china. I know for a fact that most men his age are 'too manly to miss their mommy's and daddy's', but fuck that shit. He's a grown man who has pride that he loves and misses his parents. That, is a true man.

He is also dedicated. He practices whenever he can, he would always listen carefully to Leeteuk, and he always gave the performance his best. I hate when people say he's slacking, because thats the exact opposite. He's quiet, but thats a good trait. He's loud, but thats a good trait. He's special and unlike any other performer. He also 'paved the road' for other chinese/not korean kpop singers. Think about it; Victoria and Amber(f(x)), Fei and Jia (Miss A), Zhou Mi and Henry (Super Junior-M), Alexander (U-Kiss) and Nichkhun (2PM) would be nowhere near where they are now. Hell, even Jessica and Tiffany (Girls' Generation), Krystal (f(x)), and Eli and Keven (U-Kiss) might not be where they are because they're american-korean. Hangeng really had to go through hell to get to where he is and to make things better for others. He is damn dedicated!

Hangeng might not be one of my biases. Hell, when I first discovered Super Junior, the only videos I had seen were Bonamana and Mr. Simple. At that time, I didn't really care to remember Hangeng, Kangin, and Kibum's name. But something inside me told me to learn their names and faces, and I am so fucking proud that I did. After learning more about Hangeng, I have a new level of respect for him. And a high one at that.
